Chantilly & Sky Blue Satin Evening Dress, ca. 1914 #baroqueshoes one-piece evening dress made ofA beautiful, one piece evening dress made of Chantilly lace and sky blue silk, ca. 1914. The antique dress comes from the Valentine Museum, America. The blue silk sections hanging down the sides back as two panels are striking. These are beautifully hand embroidered with a color coordinated floral motif. In the chest area, these blue sections are designed in the style of a vest. High waist, almost reminiscent of the fashion of the Empire period.
