The bodice is fitted with a wide low and straight across neck

The jacket has no closure except for a tie at the neck and sits over the other two pieces with each "sleeve" cut like a loose kimono sleeve

It is pretty opaque so could easily be worn as a dress

I love the finish of gold toned metal buttons on the front and each sleeve

We tracked down a photo of Karl receiving an award in 1973 and just behind him is a model in a dress from that years collection that uses the same quilting as we see on this example.
