Corte - Indigo Morga Skirt from Nahuala Guatemala C_N_040 San Rafael probably rayon rather than cottonNahuala Two panel foot loomed indigo morga (skirt) with finely hand embroidered randa holding the panels together. Worn by Mayan women in Nahuala, Guatemala the finally woven cotton skirt was probably woven in Nahuala or a neighboring town. I bought the skirt from Maria in 2011. One of her family had done the fine embroidered randa. While the color is a beautiful dark indigo blue, it is probably not naturally dyed. There are some fine white lines
