Hollow Form Vessel from White Oak Burl with Jet inlay

The piece was fragile enough that I had to use inlaid bridges of malachite to stabilize the wall of the vessel in 8 places

This was probably the largest Gambel Oak I have ever seen and it was sad to see it killed by fire but I’m glad I was able to recover the wood and make some beautiful pieces from it

High gloss cyanoacrylate finish buffed to 50
