She was largely in Africa during the time I was working on the piece

It was covered in patches of rusted metal and I took several photos of it

I ended up creating this batik style textile from those photos and named the print for her

The painting now lives with her in Africa

Everyone had Izod shirts and the really cool kids had started a trend wherein the logo had been bitten off leaving a whole in their spendy shirts. Although I outgrew the preppy wardrobe, I never escaped my obsession with madras plaids. The textiles Charlie and Bunny are both original art overlaid with transparent madras
