I think it may have been made by a Cree woman or a woman from one of the other tribes in Canada

one in excellent condition collected at the mouth of the Columbia River around 1900 and  a second one with serious condition problems

Small Santa Clara Jar With Sgraffito Designs by Crow Moquino (1929-2016) cedar bark The handle has two walrusesThis is a charming small Santa Clara jar with the designs in sgraffito. The jar has a design of four butterflies and three flowers around its upper body. The designs are colored in black and sienna which makes the design even more interesting. It is signed in the "Crow Moquino" and an image of corn on s stalk. It is in excellent condition and has no cracks, repair or restitution. It is a sweet little jar. H. 2 "; D. 3" c. 1990 #9036
