The school closed in 2009 after enrolments had dropped to 220 students

its surface marked by corrosion from years of exposure

This was the bedroom wing, running off the verandah that has since partly collapsed. Big Hill Post Office operated from 1 November 1869 until 1945, serving the Southern Tablelands grazing district north of Marulan. Part of the Big Hill Post Office series.
