leading onto an incredibly persistent and satisfying finish

but we have been going here to taste for many years

the 2005 Château Smith Haut Lafitte is 64% Cabernet Sauvignon

though it is difficult to envisage further melioration in bottle

2023 Maranges Blanc, Les Plantes, Domaine de Cassiopée, Burgundy Women in Wine In 1876 the House createdMaranges is one of the Ctes de Beaunes least known appellations and sits right at the south of the region. The surrounding Trois Croix mountains shadow the vineyards, helping cool grapes and leading to later ripening. This results in more intense, full bodied flavours in the wines. The Les Plantes is created from Chardonnay, and is pure and energetic, while having more structure than other whites from this young and dynamic producer.
