Depending on the weather in the next couple of days this scene could be quite different come midweek

The last couple of days while driving along Speer Blvd I have noticed the changing leaves in the city with some of the trees already empty of leaves there are plenty of trees in peak color this fall

Fall is definitely in the air in Denver and the color is also visible along Speer Blvd

I started with photographing some rocks in the lake

I looked across the Gastineau Channel and noticed the low clouds on Douglas Island with the fresh snow from some rain which had fallen earlier in the day on the peaks

Seeing the snow start to fall on Saturday evening, I planned to wake up early to get out to Washington Park prior to sunrise and see how it had been transformed. It was quiet in the park and as I headed to a tree which I found almost a year ago a slight chill was present but the beauty of the snow covered surroundings quickly made it go away.
