I really liked the vertical lines of the standing trees disappearing into the distance with the horizontals of the felled trunks in the foreground

I love how you get these really mature trees standing head and shoulders above everything else in a landscape

I returned determined to recreate something of the beauty of the place

In the distance you can see the distinctive white bridge where the Snake Pass crosses the water as is starts it’s climb over the Pennine Hills
