I thought the green foliage growing out from Black Mountain’s black granite was cool looking

Painting rocks is a nice change for me

The trees looked so pretty with the blanket of white beneath them

It’s called Tom’s Thumb because at the end of the trail there is a tall rock with a little bump on top that people thought looked like a thumb

so I painted my house on it instead

In this picturesque scene, I thought the reflections in the water looked dramatic and the colors dreamy. I think my painting captures the mood of the moment well and gives it a touch of fantasy, too.
